BLANCO RESERVA

This vermouth was inspired by the desire to make a vermouth enhanced with the Mediterranean citrus aromas that are so intrinsic to the area around the winery.

Nose: Aromatically intense and very pleasant. Memories of sweet herbs such as star anise, lemon verbena, quina and angelica. Both well-balanced and complex.

Mouth: An elegant, smooth, refined and well-rounded palate with a slight sweetness, and also a certain bitterness. An elegant and citrus fruit finish ensures freshness and a superb aftertaste giving this vermouth a gourmet touch.

Rojo Clásico is a tribute to the vermouth which was sold originally from wine cellars or enjoyed religiously every Sunday at noon. We want to evoke those herby and slightly medicinal aromas which can transport you back, even now, to the atmosphere inside those local bars and cafés.

Nose: Aromas of sweet spices, cinnamon and clove, in particular, as well as tones of candied fruits.

Mouth: A creamy and fresh palate followed by memories of slightly bitter Mediterranean herbs.

Vermouth made from a unique infusion of aromatic herbs and aged in the barrel before bottling at our winery.

ROJO CLÁSICO

One of the main characteristics of this vermouth is the absence of caramel, allowing it to retain its natural amber colour and recover the essence of the original home-made vermouths.

Nose: A blend of wild and dry woodland herbs with a subtle mineral note.

Mouth: Balsamic, refreshing and elegant with perfectly-balanced bitter-sweet sensations.

Vermouth made from a unique infusion of aromatic herbs and aged in the barrel before bottling at our winery.

Nose: Intense and striking. Powerful aromas from the prolonged ageing: dried figs, roasted hazelnuts and green walnuts

Mouth: Warm and rich at the beginning, giving way to liquorice and medicinal herbs, encased in sweet notes, and a bitter tang.

Vermouth made from a unique infusion of aromatic herbs and aged in the barrel before bottling at our winery.

Each Padró & Co. vermouth has qualities that define its own individual character. Padró & Co. vermouths are vermuts de autor or signature vermouths, made by winemaker, Mario García. The Reserva Especial, for example, contains a very traditional local-style Tarragona Clásico, wine, giving the vermouth a delicious complexity following its long resting period in ex – sherry casks. In the case of the Blanco Reserva, they use an aged white mistela as the base wine and a herb infusion that gives the vermouth a delicate and refreshing sweetness. The Rojo Clásico is a traditional red vermouth but with some additional complexity due to a thoughtful selection of herbs and a longer-than-usual resting period. In the case of the Dorado Amargo Suave, with its beautiful amber tones, the original colour of vermouth, the bitter botanicals are perfectly balanced with the other components of the vermouth resulting in delicious sensations on the palate.

We are currently celebrating the Gold Medal awarded last month to our Dorado Amargo Suave Vermouth by the San Francisco World Spirit Competitions (SFWSC), the most prestigious spirits contest in the United States. The unique style of our amber vermouth won over the SFWSC panel, a group of respected international experts, in a blind tasting. Padró & Co. Dorado Amargo Suave is a vermouth which celebrates bitter flavours, balancing them perfectly with other sweeter elements. The result is a fabulous blend of refreshing and balsamic sensations in the mouth.
